Week 1

This is a 20 minute drawing showing some basic principles of drawing; shape and tonal values. The use of correct tonal value gave this drawing that real look, as the folds are made very clear and the shading follows the shape of the cloth which makes is obvious that it is dropping down. This drawing was successful as it shows a very good tonal value and the correct proportion of each object. 

This is another 20 minutes drawing but this time I used the impressionist technique for the texture on the cloth, this saved me time and gave the viewers an idea of the texture of the  material. Again here the tonal value makes certain part of the cloth stand out than the rest .
